Extreme Sensor Super CCD EXR Debut

The new Super CCD EXR provides superior picture quality, enabling a “3-in-1” sensor combination of “Fine Capture Technology” (High Resolution), “Pixel Fusion Technology” (High Sensitivity & Low Noise), and “Dual Capture Technology” (Wide Dynamic Range). With an innovative colour filter array and image processing technology, the EXR ensures an advanced reproduction in imaging with exceptionally balanced quality.

The technology behind a camera's lens directly effects the quality of images that the camera produces; a poor lens will provide you with sub-standard pictures. The FinePix F70EXR sports a high-precision, Fujinon 10x optical zoom lens, which, along with the EXR sensor, combines to produce fantastic images that show true-to-life colours and crisp detail. Developed in harmony with the EXR sensor, the Fujinon lens has a unique Electronic Beam Coating (EBC), which renders it remarkably efficient at collecting light, whilst controls the reflections which can result in ghosting and flare.

With a 27mm wide-angle lens, the FinePix F70EXR is great for expansive subjects such as landscapes or group shots where you really struggle to get everyone in & would usually have to step back away from everyone to achieve the shot you want. With this camera you can capture your subjects in full detail, and ensure you fit them all in the picture.

New face Detection 3.0 Technology

The FinePix F70EXR is also equipped with Fujifilm's proprietary Face Detection 3.0 technology featuring automatic red-eye removal.

As with the original version of Face Detection, it can detect up to 10 human faces in a scene in as little as .035 seconds, even if the subjects are in motion.

Now the FinePix F70EXR is able to identify faces at much more extreme camera angles than before.

It does not matter if the faces are moving, tilted, turned or out of the centre of the frame, he expanded range of Face Detection 3.0 will find faces in an instant and optimise the focus and exposure to deliver the perfect portrait.

After the shot is taken, the system instantly corrects red-eye as fast as 0.1 second and then saves both the original and the corrected image file automatically.

Pro Focus Mode

One of the advantages of using a DSLR camera is the ability to create the 'wide aperture' effect which has previously been difficult to re-create using a compact camera due to lens restrictions. However, the FinePix F70EXR's Pro Focus function allows you to create images with a shallow depth of field, great for macro and portrait photography as it throws distracting backgrounds out of focus so your subject really stands out.

Pro Focus Mode works using multi-frame technology. The camera takes a rapid series of exposures at different focal points and aligns them to produce a single frame showing a sharply focused subject against a soft, out-of-focus background. The result is professional looking photos at the touch of a button.
